Title tag

The clickable headline in search results and browser tabs — the single strongest on-page signal. Aim for 50–60 characters.

The title tag tells both Google and the searcher what a page is about in one line, and it carries more on-page ranking weight than any other element. Front-load the primary keyword, keep it under roughly 60 characters so it doesn't truncate in the SERP, and make each title unique — duplicate titles across pages muddy relevance. Google will rewrite titles it finds unhelpful (too long, keyword-stuffed, or mismatched with the H1), so write for the searcher, not the algorithm.
